TUESDAY, DEC 16, 2008 — St. Olaf Professor of History Michael Fitzgerald tells Washington's The Examiner that president-elect Barack Obama could "gain some mileage" from following Lincoln's path to the White House via rail.


St. Olaf math minds place first at competition
MONDAY, DEC 15, 2008 — A nearly perfect score earned Nate Clement '10 and Thomas McConville '09 a first-place finish at the Mathematical Association of America's team competition this fall. The duo beat more than 70 other teams, many of which had three members.
