Theater students 'light up' during Interim
While many St. Olaf students went to their Interim class expecting to take notes, Kate Fridley '14 showed up to her Interim class each day without a notebook, ready to put up stage lights and play her clarinet. She was one of 17 students in the advanced Producing Theater Interim course that merged musical and theatrical projects into an academic setting.


'Neverending Myth' class culminates in neverending reading
Christopher Brunelle and his students recently performed Ovid's epic Metamorphoses in a marathon public reading. The 15 hours it took the group to complete the 12,000 lines of text were punctuated by a variety of styles, including rap.


St. Olaf earns top Peace Corps ranking
With 24 alumni currently serving abroad in the U.S. Peace Corps, St. Olaf's No. 3 ranking among small colleges and universities earns the college a "Top 25" ranking from the service organization for the number of volunteers it produces.
