Faculty from humanities, languages, and social sciences have redesigned selected courses in areas such as economics, history, religion and political science to allow you to do some of your coursework in Chinese, French, German, Norwegian, Russian or Spanish.

Source"
The St. Olaf FLAC program allows students to work from primary sources in a foreign language to gain a deeper understanding in a variety of disciplines. Through FLAC, students truly go "straight to the source."

Through the years FLAC has been
offered in seven languages-- Chinese, French, German, Latin, Norwegian, Russian and Spanish, and in the following disciplines - Art, Chemistry, German, Great Con, Hispanic Studies, History, Music, Norwegian, Political Science, Psychology, Religion, Russian, and Sociology/ Anthro-pology. Approxmately 650 students have taken FLAC courses since 1993.
